NEW SHINGLE STYLE HOUSE
This 7,500 square foot new house in a leafy MetroWest Boston town combines typical shingle style elements and materials with an attached “Vermont” style barn wing, containing a three-stall garage with children’s bedroom en-suites above.
The dark brown (almost black) exterior trim both complements and contrasts with the rich orange-red stained cedar shingle siding. The “barn” wing is clad with stone veneer at the garage level, with dark wine red variable width vertical shiplap siding used on the second floor, with vertical battens. A standing seam lead-coated roofed cupola with a “Minuteman” weathervane tops this wing as a landmark element.
